Fall 2019 Anime Season Preview

Well, it looks like the Fall season is finally upon us. It seems like i’m still trying to wrap things up from the Summer season, but time waits for nobody, am I right? anyways, as always, let’s take a look at all the shows that I’m personally looking forward to watching this season, shall we?

Azur Lane

Of course this is the top of my list. I love Azur Lane. It’s my favorite mobile game, with a huge cast of lovable characters, a lot of focus on detail and performance, and a ton of Free-to-Play compatibility, especially compared to other gacha games I’ve played. Ever since this anime adaptation was announced a while back, I’ve been so super excited for this release, and from what I’ve seen of the trailers etc, it looks like it should be pretty good.

Of course, it being an adaptation of a mobile game, my expectations are tempered somewhat, as they usually end up being only somewhat average at best. Even so, however, I’m excited to see my beloved characters finally animated and interacting. This’ll be one to keep an eye on!!

Fate/Grand Order: Absolute Demonic Front Babylonia

Here’s another one based on a mobile game, and another one that i’m rather excited about. This was one of the more impressive singularities in the game, and the story is rather interesting, to say nothing of the characters involved. As much as we’ve seen from the previews, the production values seem pretty high, and if they manage to nail the plot and the characters, it’ll be a welcome addition to the Fate family.

Ascendance of a Bookworm

Now this is one that I’ve been following the manga of for a while. I know it’s also a light novel, but I haven’t taken the time yet to check that out… but anyways, it’s a lovely new look at the classic Isekai trope. No overpowered protagonist, just a young girl with a deadly disease struggling to survive and get her hands on some of her beloved books.

Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun

Another manga I’ve been following for a bit. It’s a funny story about a young boy who gets sold by his parents to a demon, and taken to the demon world as said demon’s grandson. It’s funny, it’s got a colorful cast of characters, and I think it’ll be a lovely lighthearted addition to the seasonal lineup.

BlackFox

Technically, it’s a movie, I know. But the visuals look insanely good, and after that emotional PV episode they launched, I think it’s going to be absolutely amazing. I seriously can’t wait to see more of this, as I think it’ll be one of the best releases of the whole year.

That’s about all that I’ve been looking forward to for this season. I know there’s probably a bunch of surprises to come this season, as with most seasons, but out of all the seasons this year, I think i’m probably the most excited about this one, by a pretty wide margin.

That’s enough about my preferences, though. What are you guys excited to watch this season? I’m very interested to hear what all you guys are keeping your eyes on this fall. Let me know down in the comments!

As always, thank you all very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed, and I’ll see you all in the next post!!
