Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? – First Impressions

Well, this is a bit of an… interesting? Yeah sure, let’s go with interesting. A bit of an interesting addition to the typical seasonal Isekai deluge that shows no signs of stopping… or even slowing down… anytime soon.

Aside from the name being more than just a single mouthful (you may need two, or even three, to fully digest that word-vomit title), it’s going to take some above-average mental fortitude to make it through even a single episode of this show, which a friend of mine not-so-lovingly referred to as a “milfsekai”.

I like moeblobs… but not when they’re supposed to be like 40 and married

Yes, it’s a story about a moody, horny, grouchy teenager going on a fantasy adventure with his overly-youthful and well-endowed mother for… what reason, exactly? Oh, right, plot contrivance because it’s a generic Isekai, but with a mom in the mix. I mean, they say it’s because he put his name on an anonymous survey, but… yeah, I’ve seen better plot devices on! (not really, I don’t dare set foot in that dark, unholy place, but you get the idea.)

The show has this really uncomfortable air around it, basically the entire time. Not just because the writing is incredibly basic and immature, but Mamako, as the mom’s name is called (my forehead hurts from rapidly impacting with my palm on a regular basis) is rather excessively clingy and affectionate with her son, to the point of it being CREEPY. And on the same basis, Ma-kun, or whatever his name is, I can’t remember on the basis of him being called Ma-kun about every 6 seconds throughout the episode, is just about one of the most spoiled, bratty protagonists I’ve ever seen. Constantly complaining and wanting to escape into a game world away from his perfectly fine real world life, and constantly insulting and shouting at his mom… he just gets under my skin.

Why does this prick get to be Isekai’ed??? Let me take his place!!

Now, I do need to apologize, because I generally don’t like being negative in my reviews, but the longer the episode went on, the more irritated I got by the whole deal. So I guess i’ll just out and say it… It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s something I would recommend to someone that I hate, right alongside things like drinking bleach, putting hot sauce in your eyes, or listening to Taylor Swift.

I should really stop talking now, before I end up digging my own grave here. Please let me know what you guys think of this show, if you’ve had the unfortunate experience of having watched it, unwillingly as it may have been. If you enjoyed the episode, please let me know how many of which drugs I must take beforehand. As always, thank you all so very much for watching, and I hope to see you all in the next post!

  1. I’m going to watch a few more episodes of this just because I like isekai anime and maybe it will get better, but I’m not reviewing it and I’ll probably drop it. Can’t stand the two main characters here so that’s probably a sign I’m not going to get very far into it.

  2. I’m still hoping it’ll recover, because there are too few series with an adult woman as a protagonist. Especially a mom!

But to be perfectly honest, by the episode’s mid-point, I was feeling the same creepy vibes you were!
