Well now, it seems Goblin Slayer is sticking to the familiar rhythm of giving us a break episode after each big adventure, letting both the viewers and the characters some time to rest and recuperate from the stress of hunting Goblins. Repairing gear, restoring stamina, and of course just relaxing to restore spirits… it’s a well-deserved respite.
I feel like it’s beats like this that really allow Goblin Slayer to succeed as a series. Moments of lightheartedness, or even a whole episode devoted to resting up before the next adventure. Leaving the audience a break from the violence and brutality is just the thing we need to get hyped up for whatever comes next.
Speaking of which… the episode left us on quite the cliffhanger, there at the end. Of course, I already know where things are headed, but i’m excited to see this new story arc represented in the Anime as well.
Well, apart from that, though, it was also nice to just see what adventurer’s daily life is like. Training newer members or just keeping your skills sharp, maintaining gear, and of course… lots and lots of drinking. Seeing the continued friendly rivalry between High Elf and Dwarf Shaman was hilarious, especially the aftermath of it all.
We’ll be heading right back into the darkness next episode, though, so there’s always that to look forward to. I, for one, am very excited to see how this show turns out in the end. What do you guys think? Are you enjoying the show up to this point, and are you looking forward to seeing more goblin faces busted in? Let me know down in the comments, and i’ll see you all in the next post!
