Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai – Episode 6

Well… the show’s done it again. A second emotional climax happening over the typical 3-episode character arc, but beautifully blended together so that the previous story arc still retains meaning. And as we come to the end of her arc… I feel like I owe an apology to Tomoe for some of the things I said about her initially.

I love the character chemistry in this show

I was a bit peeved that she seemed poised to come between my perfect ship of Sakuta and Mai, of course, but this episode really turned my opinion around, and helped me to genuinely like her character. She ended up being extremely adorable and genuine, and I do hope she sticks around.

Well, I had a nagging feeling that the time-skipping wasn’t done yet, and I was right. Tomoe, unable to let go of her growing feelings for Sakuta, unintentionally keeps causing time to repeat itself, hoping desperately to change Sakuta’s feelings for her. She’s determined in an endearing kind of way, even though she knows that her efforts are ultimately going to be in vain.

Sad little bean

Honestly, Tomoe’s confession to Sakuta actually hit me a lot harder than Sakuta’s confession to Mai did. Her earnest pleading and genuine emotion was really nice to see, and it made her character so much more than just “adorable kouhai”, though she is that, as well. Honestly, it was almost enough to make me want to root for her. Almost.

This show is really impressing me, and I can’t wait to see more of what it has in store. I hope you guys are all enjoying the show as well, and if you’re not watching it yet… GET TO IT! Anyways, thank you all for reading, and i’ll see you in the next post!

  1. This episode really helped turn things around. I was honestly a bit mad at him for agreeing to go along with the fake relationship. However the fact that he was upfront with Mai and the fact that they went ALL the way back really wrapped things up nicely.
Her confession also hit me harder than I thought it would too since she really annoyed me. I guess I can relate a bit to the feeling of liking someone but they already like someone else. I’m glad she was honest and that helped her grow to find better friends in her class and the courage to turn down jerkman.
